I worked as a studio assistant for some time, producing work for various well-known artists.
This painting was shown at the Brooklyn Museum’s 2015 Wiley retrospective titled Kehinde Wiley: A New Republic.
These paintings were for a show at Gagosian for Jeff Koons.
I made a lot more work fully start to finish for Eliza Douglass than I ever did for Wiley or Koons simply because her practice allowed for greater exploration and creative agency. I quite liked working with her and her team on paintings and the occasional video art.
